The Green Is Gone And It's Time For Spring

Well, Tonight is the night for the big reveal...I'm finally done with painting and getting everything back together, I'm so pleased with the way it turned out, there are a couple of things that I still need to do like getting the curtains hung back up, and getting the carpets cleaned but all in all it's DONE..... And as we all say, Everything is an on going project  and that's the beauty of decorating !!! So with that said  I now ask you my blogging friends ...Should I put curtains back up or should I leave it the way it is for the summer ??? You make the call...... So Here it is...........

                                            Before........

                                  And After.........

The Paint is PB Mascarpone
Side view of the living Room
I opted to take the doors off this cabinet
Added numbers one day because I was bored
Put one of the broken doors on the wall with an ironstone plate
Fire place mantel
Vignette of my Mother and her brother and flower
And my poor little lemon tree that needs to go out side and yes it does produce lemons
View form foyer
credenza I found on Craigslist for $10.00
And finally I couldn't leave out my beautiful book.

Hope all of you have a wonderful weekend and keep on DECORATING.......And Golly Gee didn't know you could click on my pictures and make them HUGE... don't look and the outlet covers because they didn't have enough at Lowe's ...... Talk about freaking out ......

Wow, so so beautiful. It looks amazing. You did an outstanding job.

Pattie, it is absolutely delightful. I love the fresh light and bright color. This is exactly why my kitchen is going to go lighter, too. I don't remember what your drapes look like. I would probably say hang them just to soften the edges of the windows since there is no trim around them, too. Love this room. What paint and color did you use?

I LOVE IT!!! Looks sooooo pretty! I didnt see the curtains before but I see some drapey gauzey white curtains hung high and wide across the windows.

Pam Kessler said...

It looks so bright and airy now! Love the cabinet door with the plate in it. I agree with Here On Crow Creek - maybe gauzy curtains.

OMG Pattie this room belongs in a PB magazine!! I love the light fresh feel of it,and you have some terrific eye candy. I would say panels on the window would be the finishing touch! Great job, Martina

Pattie, it looks great. I love the look of the bamboo blinds, so wouldn't cover them much but I do like the idea of a very gauzy panel just on the sides to soften the edges a bit.

Judy

A M A Z I N G!!~ WOW Pattie girl you have some mad talent girl. THis is gorgeous, so well executed and the looks so darn warm and cozy! I love it! Don't ask me about curtains, I struggle in that category!

It's beautiful Pattie! So dreamy, I really love it. You did an amazing job!

I can never decide what to do with curtains either. I always feel that my windows are bare without them, yet I always admire the curtain-less look in blogland.

Victoria said...

Oh wow, it looks amazing!!! I love all your sofa pillows! And the antique window...swoon!!! I think some sheer curtains would look lovely, I'm not sure what you had up there before tho!

I can't get past the dreamy slipcovers to look at the walls. I vote for panels to soften the shades. The entire room flows beautifully! Love the old window hanging and the chandelier!

While I love the effect I can already hear the flack I would get from family members. WHY would you want to put numbers on drawers? You want to hang the old door on the wall sideways???
Some people just can not appreciate beauty.

Oh my, you did a fantastic job on this! It looks larger and I love all the "different" things you've done. I think a little something, somethin' on the windows would be nice. Perhaps something light for summer?

Now....can you please come & help me? :-)

Hi Pattie.... Can I just say simply georgeous? I absolutely love it. I want to copy what you have done into my 100 year old living room. I hope you don't mind but I am going to use your pictures as my guides.

I started a new job in Feb and just 2 days after starting went to the ER in Indy and was hospitalized. I guess work did not agree with me. LOL... I am just now catching up on my favorite blogs. I miss being out in blogland. I had to come and see what you have done.

Did you make your slipcovers? Girl.. you have so much talent. I'm loving everything you do.
