My New Laundry Room Reveal

So as you know I have been working on my laundry room for the past two weeks, And let me tell you there was a lot of blood, sweat, and tears that went into this project, But in the end I am so loving how it turned out.. I know it looks a little dark But I assure you that it is not, I ended up having a friend help me install the shelving because I couldn't find any that I liked, These are so much stronger than the wire kind.. The paint is called Zinc (Martha Stewart) I cheated and had Lowe's color match it (Sorry Martha) and the flooring is a high grade peel and stick. The baskets and laundry hamper I bought over the summer at good old Home Good. I hid the heating and cooling system and water heater with a King size sheet hemmed and put up with a tension rod. I am still waiting for the lighting I ordered to come in But in the mean time do you remember what the Laundry Room looked like????

                                                BEFORE

                                  And here is the AFTER

So what do you think? Thank you to all of my girlfriends Hubbies that helped me with all the hard things that I could have never done without your help....

Down To The Last Wire

Good Sunday morning, So the laundry room is nearly finished, It has been one of the hardest projects that I have done, You would think that such a small room would be NO problem, But how wrong one can be... Here is a sneak peek at what I have done so far, And the nails where my inspiration..

Hang tight I have a few more days(LOL) to go I still have to put down quarter round, Hang the lighting, and put up the shelving, So I guess I better get going or it will never get done....Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful Sunday

Two Long Days

Hello all so wanted to update you on the Laundry Room Makeover. And before I start wanted to just say I don't care if the trend is to have wallpaper or boarder and even if it lasts for twenty years I will NEVER DO IT AGAIN....This is what I have done so far... You might say...I don't see anything different. But I have been working on this sense I last posted... The washer and dryer are out in the living room, took all the trim out , going to rip out the flooring tomorrow in between clients... Did I mention how much I appreciate them? Thank God they don't care what I look like in the process of doing their nails...

Does anyone have any hints on making this border come off any easier???? Please let me know. Your help is appreciated..Everyone have a better day than what I'm having(I'm still having fun with is project)...

A Much needed Makeover

Hello all, I hope everyone is having a great start to the New Year. Between Christmas and New Years is one of the busiest two weeks at The Nail Room and I must say I needed a break, So onto the subject. My laundry room has not been touched in the last ten years, So I thought it was time for a much needed makeover. But please DON'T HATE me for getting rid of this beautiful border and the gorgeous color on the walls... And not to mention the heating and cooling system that's takes up ALL of the room....

This is going to be one long month, It's a dirty job But someone has to do it.... So here is the plan... New flooring...Paint....Lighting... and a few surprises. I will be keeping you all up to date on what I am doing. This weekend I will be going to Lowe's and picking out flooring and paint. So on that note everyone have a great weekend.
