I Just Had To Share

Got a call this morning for my friend Linda wanted me to come down and see what she found late Thursday afternoon , I waited a couple of day to take these pictures because I didn't want to disturber Mom and Dad, I can't believe how beautiful she made this nest... and her eggs are the most delicate color blue.. Just another sign that spring has sprung.

Have a Wonderful Weekend.......

Mama did an awesome job.
I once found two Starling hatchlings that fell over 30 feet to the ground. Miraculously, I was able to raise them on scrambled eggs and moistened catfood! I fed them every couple of hours, their tulip -like beaks gaping open when they were hungry!
I named them Laurel and Hardy because one had incurred a slight injury from the fall that made his feathers stick up like Stanley's and the other was fat like Ollie!
It was hard to let them go the final time, after they learned how to fly and to forage. They would still come back occasionally and eat from my hand or sit on my shoulder. I miss those two.

Dearest Pattie,

WOW! You must be competing with Fifi with your new interior. I love the 'Mascarpone' color paint; for two reasons for the color and for the nostagia for la Bella Italia... Snif-snif.
Oh, and you have a lilac bush with such healthy buds; oh my I envy you as it is my favorite flowe but here it is soooo hot so I don't get flowers like you do.
That door hanging with the ironstone plate is quite an idea!
You have some spunk in you. Oh, I see Diesel sitting her on the side, watching me type... A cute family in a nice place! Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for sticking your head around the corner in my world.

Lots of love,

Mariette

Awwwww... nature always knows what's prettiest. See how the soft blues and browns complement each other... perfect.

This little mama bird should have her own birds nest decorating blog.. she did such a wonderful job placing the feathers just so around the nest !

What awesome photos! That nest is amazing -- that bird (or those birds) could be home designers! Love the photo of the budding lilac. I could almost smell the sweet aroma. Congrats on the feature!
