Simple Summer Mantel

Hello everyone, hope you week is going good, I finally finished the fireplace and put it all back together. I desisted to keep it simple and clean for the hot days of summer, I bought the old books from Nikki
and the two little pots with the greenery are form Ikea, We all desisted to go Monday but that's another story that I will share with you tomorrow (still recuperating) My friend Lynn surprised me with the little lemon tree sense my real one refuses to produce any she thought I would get a kick out of this one...

I love the simplicity of your mantle. I have a mantle that is hard to decorate. It is 15' long! There are built-in-glass-doored bookcases on each side of the fireplace that the mantle extends over. The only time I have no trouble is at Christmas when it holds all 27 pieces of my Department 56 Village along with people, accessories and trees. Maybe I should just leave it up all year!!

Best,
Bonnie
